Question by GANDALF: After motherboard what is the most important part of the computer hardware?
I ofcourse think it’s the processor but I can’t convince my stupid friend

if you don’t have a processor core you can’t do ANYTHING else………..why do thay call it a CPU?? CENTRAL processing unit!!
Actually, the processor is the most important hardware. Once you’ve decided on the processor, then you would choose the motherboard, due to the fact that different chips have different pin configurations. After you choose your chip and motherboard, i would say the hard drive type and size would be next, then RAM amount, then video card type and RAM amount. Hope this helps
I think most components are equal in their importance as you can’t run the pc without them, such as RAM, CPU, HDD.

Neither the Motherboard or the CPU can run independantly, really.

After the Motherboard it is the processor. And ofter that its the graphics card then its the sound card.
This is kind dump, I think everything (even wires)are important in your PC, if you tell what to check when buying a PC that will be a different question.
1- Processor because that will be the brain
2-Hard drive capacity
3-Memory capacity
4-display
